Repairing a leaking flat roof
Cracks around the window ledge running down and along the edge of the felt had allowed rain water to enter this property, causing rising damp and mould inside.
Which was clearly retaining sufficient moisture enough for this weed to take root and grow.
I chased out all the way along the lengths of the cracks, removing all loose render and dust.
I swept up the rubble then hoovered all the render dust out of the cracks.
I pumped in some CT1 clear sealant into the cracks just above the flashing (not visible in the photo) to act as a primary seal. Then sealed the entire affected roof area with flexacryl roof repair.
And lastly, cemented in the whole area.
I didn't paint it, as the house owner wanted the challenge of painting it himself. He assures me he made a lovely job of it.
